Todd joined Patterson in the summer of 2015 to help source and process commercial real estate assignments after having spent four years originating structured real estate loans at GE Capital Real Estate. Todd’s background also includes seven years of trading debt instruments in the financial services industry. Todd’s professional experience in capital markets provides for a sound understanding of real estate and financial transactions aimed at helping to provide solutions to clients. To date, Todd has been involved in approximately $4 billion of real estate transactions.
Prior to joining Patterson, Todd was a Director at GE Capital Real Estate responsible for sourcing, analyzing, structuring and negotiating real estate loans including balance sheet, CMBS and mezzanine debt. Todd was also a member of GE’s Experienced Commercial Leadership Program, which focused on building sales, marketing, strategy, and leadership skills. Prior to his time at GE, Todd was in the full-time MBA program at Emory’s Goizueta Business School. While attending business school, Todd also consulted part-time for Cousins Properties focusing on valuations and market research. Prior to business school, Todd worked for Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. in New York as a Director of short-term trading responsible for sales and trading of auction rate securities, municipal bonds, variable rate demand notes, certificates of deposit and commercial paper.

Originally from Boston, and having spent a stretch in New York, Todd now resides in Atlanta with his wife Sarah and two children Molly and Ansley. Aside from spending time with his family, Todd enjoys playing ice hockey as a member of Atlanta’s Amateur Hockey League.
