Laura joined Patterson in the summer of 2019 as a Director to continue the firm’s expansion into the Nashville market. Laura has over 15 years of commercial real estate experience including investment, development, acquisition, disposition and asset management with specific expertise in the development arena of complex, urban mixed-use projects. Laura’s professional experience provides for a holistic approach to both strategic advisory and capital placement assignments.
Prior to joining Patterson, Laura spent four years as Director of Development and Special Assets at Nicol Investment Company, a multi-generational family office focused on the acquisition and development of mixed use, multifamily, senior housing and self-storage. Laura led the strategy and execution of Nicol’s mixed-use developments, complex problem assets and new development opportunities.
Prior to joining Nicol Investment Company, Laura served as Vice President of Investments and Development at Carter, an Atlanta-based real estate development and investment company. Laura had execution responsibility for over $300 million and 1,500,000 square feet of development in multifamily, retail and office from projection inception through disposition.

Laura relocated from her hometown of Atlanta to Nashville in 2015 and currently resides there with her husband, daughter and their German Shorthaired Pointer and Labrador Retriever. She enjoys tennis, traveling and SEC football.
