Since joining Patterson in the Summer of 2017, Hayes has been directly involved in the closing of nearly 20 transactions encompassing over $400 million in debt and equity placements in markets throughout the Southeast. The financing raised has included a mix of construction debt, bridge debt, permanent debt, joint venture equity and subordinate capital, such as mezzanine debt and preferred equity. He has worked on a wide range of asset classes including office, multifamily, condominiums, hospitality, and mixed-use projects. In his current role, Hayes is responsible for underwriting investment opportunities and preparing offering materials, while working directly with clients to create appropriate capital solutions for their unique real estate opportunities.
Prior to joining Patterson, Hayes was an intern for Gypsum Management & Supply’s Mergers & Acquisitions group, a worldwide distributor of interior building products. While at GMS, Hayes experienced the company’s IPO (May 2016) in addition to participating in the acquisition of 3 competing companies in the industry.

Hayes was born and raised in Marietta, Georgia, where he attended Pope High School. He played four years of collegiate tennis for the University of Alabama. Hayes enjoys golf, traveling, concerts, and cheering for Alabama’s sports teams.
